The real video of a ghost which was terrifying our newborn almost nightly.
We moved into a 120-year-old farmhouse shortly before our daughter was born. The house belonged to a longtime widow who had recently passed away. On occasion we heard some strange sounds in the old home but attributed them to the house being pretty old. About 6-months after our daughter was born she started waking up screaming in the middle of the night. This is common for children of this age to not sleep through the night but often she would be waking less then an hour after my wife feed and laid her down. My wife started to comment on how the child would be shaking almost uncontrollably when she would pick her up. This went on for a month or so and we had her checked out a clinic. She was perfectly healthy. The doctor suggested keeping her dressed warmer as she may just be getting cold. My wife had noticed that the baby’s room often seemed colder then the rest of the house. Another month went by and the problem was getting worse. My wife did some Internet research and found a story from a couple that had a similar problem and claimed it was caused by a ghost or sprit. They moved and the problem went away. I didn’t believe in this stuff at all but my wife did and contacted some ghost hunters. They suggested running a video camera at night in our daughter’s room with a special light they had. I didn’t want to do it but between my wife’s insistence and more bad night wakeups, I finally agreed. They came to our house and set the light up. Sure enough that first night with the camera rolling our daughter slept until almost 7am. It was the best nights rest we had had in 7-months. My wife made me check the tape out at breakfast and I nearly choked on my cereal when I saw what was on it. I think the hair is still standing up on my neck! My wife cried for hours. Needless to say we didn’t stay another night in the house and sold it shortly thereafter. Our daughter is now sleeping through the night. I wonder if the people who bought the farmhouse have had any problems as we didn’t disclose anything? Oh well, buyers beware.
